1. The Cosmic Agreement (Acceptance of Terms)

By accessing or using Mystic's Mirror ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform immediately.

Changes to Terms: We may update these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on the Platform. Unless otherwise stated, changes are effective when posted. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not required to provide direct notice, and your continued access or use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, your sole remedy is to stop using the Platform.

Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to use this Platform. By creating an account, you certify that you are of legal age to form a binding contract.

2. For Entertainment Purposes Only (The "No Liability" Clause)

THIS IS CRITICAL: All services, content, AI interactions, and human readings provided on Mystic's Mirror are for entertainment purposes only. Astrology is a spiritual art, not a proven science.

  • We are not medical professionals, financial advisors, or legal counsel.
  • No reading or advice should ever replace professional medical, legal, or financial advice.
  • Health & Death: We strictly prohibit predictions regarding death dates, diagnosis of medical conditions, or pregnancy outcomes.
  • You are solely responsible for your life choices. We disclaim all liability for actions you take based on our content.

3. The Marketplace & Astrologers

Mystic's Mirror acts as a venue to connect you with independent Astrologers.

  • Venue Only; No Endorsement: Mystic's Mirror is a marketplace venue and technology platform. Astrologers are not our employees. Any verification, badges, or "certification" labels are informational and do not constitute endorsement, a warranty of quality, or a guarantee of results.
  • No Guarantees: We do not guarantee the accuracy of any reading, the outcome of any advice, or your satisfaction with any Astrologer. Any decisions you make are your responsibility.
  • Anti-Scam Policy (No "Curse Removal"): We strictly prohibit Astrologers from soliciting money for "curse removals," "energy clearing rituals," "spells," or "gemstone remedies" outside of the platform's official booking system. If an Astrologer claims you are cursed and asks for money to fix it, REPORT THEM IMMEDIATELY. This is a scam.
  • Platform Exclusivity: You agree to conduct all payments and communications solely through the Mystic's Mirror platform. Attempting to take an Astrologer "off-platform" (e.g., asking for their personal WhatsApp, Venmo, or email) is a violation of these terms and may result in an immediate ban.
  • Disputes; Release: Any dispute regarding a reading is primarily between you and the Astrologer. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release Mystic's Mirror from any and all claims arising out of or relating to an Astrologer’s services, communications, or conduct. Our liability (if any) is strictly limited to the platform fee collected for that specific transaction.
  • Refunds & Cancellations (Marketplace Bookings): Mystic's Mirror is a venue and (where permitted) a payment facilitator. Astrologers are the providers of marketplace services and bear responsibility for those services. Where cancellation is available through the Platform, refunds are governed by the following policy (calculated based on the time remaining before the scheduled start time):
    • More than 24 hours notice: 80% refund.
    • Between 24 hours and 1 hour notice: 50% refund.
    • Less than 1 hour notice (or after scheduled start): 0% refund.
    • Completed/Delivered Services: No refunds are issued for sessions that have already taken place or content that has already been delivered (including answered Q&A), regardless of satisfaction.
    • Async Questions: If an async question is eligible for cancellation before it is answered/delivered, the refund is 90% (10% retained as a processing fee).

    Notes: (a) Cancellation may be unavailable for certain statuses (e.g., pending approval, already in progress, or already completed). (b) Payment processor fees and taxes may be non-refundable. (c) To the maximum extent permitted by law, platform/service fees may be non-refundable. (d) We may issue additional refunds in our sole discretion where permitted by law.

4. AI & Automated Insights

Our "AI Astrologer" and automated reports are generated by large language models. While we strive for cosmic accuracy:

  • Hallucinations: AI can occasionally "hallucinate" or generate incorrect astronomical data. Always verify critical transits with a human astrologer.
  • No Sentience: The AI is a tool, not a conscious entity. It cannot "feel" your energy.
  • Usage Limits: We reserve the right to limit AI interactions to prevent abuse or system overload.
  • Data Persistence: We store your chat history to provide continuity and personalized service. You acknowledge that this history is stored on our servers and may be analyzed by automated systems to improve your experience and offer relevant products.

5. Pricing & Payments

We reserve the right to change pricing for subscriptions, credits, and marketplace fees at any time. Subscription price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle following notice. We may offer promotional pricing or "beta" access which can be revoked at our sole discretion.

6. User Conduct & Zero Tolerance

You agree not to use the Platform for any illegal purpose. We maintain a Zero Tolerance Policy for:

  • Harassment: Abusive language, threats, or stalking behavior towards Astrologers or support staff.
  • Chargeback Fraud: Filing a dispute with your bank for a completed session or valid subscription charge is considered fraud. We will contest all illegitimate chargebacks with evidence of your usage and IP logs. Doing so will result in a permanent ban and potential blacklisting from associated payment networks.
  • Hate Speech: Any discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or orientation.

Any content you post (reviews, comments) grants us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and modify that content.

7. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. Mystic's Mirror is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your password.

8. Intellectual Property & DMCA

The Platform and its original content (excluding user-generated content) are owned by Mystic's Mirror and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

DMCA Notice: We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please contact our support email with a formal DMCA takedown notice.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mystic's Mirror, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MYSTIC'S MIRROR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR OUR SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE LAST SIX MONTHS.

11. Third-Party Links

Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., book recommendations, YouTube channels) that are not owned or controlled by Mystic's Mirror. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites.

12. General Provisions

  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision will be struck and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
  • Force Majeure: We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside our reasonable control, including, but not limited to, acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, embargos, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, strikes, or shortages of transportation facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

13. Right to Modify & Terminate

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform (including features, availability, pricing, and access) at any time, with or without notice, except where required by law. We may terminate or suspend your access for any reason, including for suspected fraud, abuse, or a violation of these Terms, without liability to you to the maximum extent permitted by law.

14. Governing Law & Arbitration

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

Informal Resolution First: Before initiating arbitration, you agree to contact us at the email address in Section 15 and provide a brief written description of the dispute and the relief requested. The parties will attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally within thirty (30) days.

Binding Individual Arbitration: To the maximum extent permitted by law, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, rather than in court. CLASS ACTION WAIVER: You and Mystic's Mirror waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, private attorney general action, or other representative proceeding.

Provider; Rules; Seat: The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") in accordance with the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect (the "Rules"), except as modified by this Section. The arbitration will be conducted in English by a single arbitrator. The seat of arbitration will be Portland, Oregon, and hearings may be conducted remotely if permitted by the Rules or ordered by the arbitrator.

Delegation: To the maximum extent permitted by law, the arbitrator (and not any court) will have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute regarding the interpretation, applicability, enforceability, or formation of this arbitration agreement, including any claim that all or any part of it is void or voidable.

Fees and Costs: Payment of AAA filing, administration, and arbitrator fees will be governed by the Rules. If you are a consumer, Mystic's Mirror will pay the AAA fees required for your claim to proceed to arbitration beyond any consumer filing fee amount required by the Rules, unless the arbitrator determines your claim is frivolous or brought for an improper purpose. Each party will bear its own attorneys’ fees and costs unless a statute or the arbitrator provides otherwise.

Small Claims Option: Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court (or equivalent) if the claim is within that court’s jurisdiction, so long as it remains an individual action and does not seek class-wide relief.

Injunctive Relief: Notwithstanding the foregoing, Mystic's Mirror may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent unauthorized access, fraud, abuse, security incidents, or misuse of the Platform, or to protect our intellectual property.

Batch Arbitration Waiver: To the maximum extent permitted by law, arbitrations will be conducted only on an individual basis. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims and may not otherwise preside over any form of representative, consolidated, coordinated, or class proceeding.

Time Limit to Bring Claims: To the maximum extent permitted by law, any claim must be brought within one (1) year after the events giving rise to the claim, or it is permanently barred.

Severability; Survival: If any portion of this Section is found unenforceable, that portion will be severed and the remainder will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law. This Section survives termination of your account and these Terms.
