The Essence
Sometimes the universe plays hide and seek. One of the most famous uses of Prasna is finding lost items (Nashta Jatakam). The chart acts as a GPS tracker.
Classical Verse
"Prasna Marga: 'If the Lord of the 2nd House is in a Kendra (1, 4, 7, 10), the object is near. If in a Panapara (2, 5, 8, 11), it is hidden but recoverable. If in an Apoklima (3, 6, 9, 12), it is gone.'"
Modern Translation
To find a lost object, look at the 2nd Lord (Wealth/Possessions) or the 4th Lord (Property). Direction: The Sign of the 2nd Lord indicates the direction (e.g., Aries = East, Libra = West). Location: Fire Signs: Near heat, electronics, or the kitchen. Earth Signs: On the floor, in the garden, or under something heavy. Air Signs: High up, on a shelf, or near a window. Water Signs: Near the bathroom, sink, or laundry. Recovery: If the Moon aspects the Lagna, you will find it. If the Moon is in the 8th, it is lost forever.
Practical Insight
The 'Argala' of Recovery. Chant the name of Kartavirya Arjuna ('Om Kartaviryarjunaya Namaha'). Legend says he had 1,000 arms and could retrieve anything lost in the three worlds. Chanting this 108 times while visualizing the object creates a psychic link that often leads you subconsciously to the item's location.
