To predict the fate of a nation for the year: 1. Cast the chart for the exact moment the Sun enters 0° Aries, set to the coordinates of the capital city. 2. Analyze the Ascendant of this chart. If the Ascendant Lord is strong, the country thrives. If it is in the 8th house, the nation faces crisis. 3. The 'King' is represented by the Sun and the 10th Lord. If they are afflicted by Saturn/Rahu, the leader may fall or face rebellion. 4. The 'People' are represented by the Moon. If the Moon is afflicted, there is public unrest or epidemic.
Practical Insight
The 'Muntha' Check. In the annual chart (Varshaphala), the position of the 'Muntha' (a sensitive calculated point) reveals the focus of the year. If the Muntha is in the 6th, 8th, or 12th house of the Ingress chart, the year will be defined by struggle, regardless of how good the economy looks on paper. Leaders often perform massive Yagyas (fire rituals) during this Ingress window to shift the Muntha's energy.
