He spent all his time in her mansion, ignoring the other 26 wives. Enraged by this neglect, Daksha cursed the Moon to wither and die (waning). Only through Shiva's intervention was the Moon saved, but he was forced to wax and wane forever. This story highlights Rohini's immense magnetic power—a beauty so captivating it can disrupt the cosmic order and incite jealousy in all who are excluded.
